Was looking over fanfiction.net and found some good ones!
The Tides of Time and the Bones of the Earth by JunoMagic is a very long story (52 chapters) but well worth the read. There are other fics by the author, set in the same AU timeline. Its a LOTR fic, set after the War of the Ring and after the elves have left Middle Earth. However ME faces destruction, and the only path of survival lies with the elves in Aman. Therefore a woman starts a quest to bring them back. Sounds a little Mary-Sueish I know, but its not as bad as it sounds.
With Eyes To See by Glimpse of Angels is another good fic, again LOTR. Really just a Estel/Legolas friendship fic, not finished yet. Legolas is blinded in an attack that takes his mother's life, in the emotional aftermath he leaves to live on his own in seclusion. Along comes Estel who feels weighted down by his heritage, and who is determind to befriend this lone, somewhat hostile elf.
